Just one teensy problem: Aidan can't cook--not even boil water.
At some point in every woman's life, she wishes she could do magic. But will Aidan cook up true love, a career...or just a disaster?

"I found myself laughing at Foodies Guide to Kitchen Magic from the start.
I love that a serious foodie would not be able to cook at all, until
learning to control her magic that is. I also was humored by how Ms.
Sookoo was able to make the interactions between Matteus and Aidan not
only funny but believable. I found a Foodies Guide to Kitchen Magic to be
a funny quirky fast read.

Dancing may be hard... but no one expected it to be murder.
When sexy tap dancer Abigail Carlton, a.k.a. Ruby Slippers, is found dead and arranged in an artistic fashion on her coffee table, it's up to Special Agent Quentin Banks to solve her murder.
But nothing is ever as it seems. Not only is Quentin a FBI career man, he doubles as an officer for the Institute of Magical Instruction... and the dancer's death has super natural energy written all over it.
Quentin must find who murdered Abigail, and he only has 24 hours to do it before it's taken over by his superiors.
I felt like I was reading a game of Clue, which was
interesting and enjoyable... The cast of characters
were well drawn. The setting details good. And the
conflicts, both personal and external, handled well.
I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to anyone
who likes a good who-did-it with a paranormal twist.

I'm a fan of non-comedic plus-sized characters and Jillian is
a strong, interesting woman. The interaction between the suspects
and the two FBI agents was delightful and clever. The world that
was created in these pages is a place I look forward to visiting
again. I enjoyed the mystery as it wasn't too easy to solve or too
hard that it could not be figured out. This author holds a firm
place on my must-read list. I highly recommend this satisfying
novella.

Jamison Rocket is a food critic who rarely gives out a 5-star rating. His palate for food is as flawless as his taste in life. Trouble is, he's a vampire, and even though he enjoys his job, he's been haunted by memories of the love he left behind ten years ago—the woman he can't forget.

Neither one has been able to forget the love they once shared. Over the Fourth of July weekend, their romance is rekindled into an inferno they once thought impossible. Though the need for acceptance burns bright within Jamison, it's Meredith who ultimately will need to decide which ingredients she'll need to whip up a happy ending and add fireworks to her own life.

Sandra Sookoo is an author I will be looking out for. This

Gregg Carter, bound to the Devil for all eternity because of an audit gone wrong, seizes the opportunity to take possession of Anne's soul as a way to please his boss. What he didn't count on was the fact that his libido would take the one-way bus to crazy town as he gets to know her better.
Trouble is, Anne and Gregg spend so much time trying to hide their true selves from each other, they can't escape the attraction that builds between them. But everyone knows demons and humans don't mix, and neither can two people who have no futures.

I read Sandra Sookoo because she totally cracks me up. Her
heroines have a self understanding that is admirable and
Anne is no exception. At the start of the story she is facing
death with an irony and subtle sarcasm that hold up even when
she has to face her demon, literally... So, to sum up,
sexy heroes, real women heroines and humor. A real win-win
combination.

The key to this great story are the fantastic characters. I had no
problem believing that a tax man is a real live demon but I find it
harder to believe that an IRS auditor is sexy. Annie is a fabulously
complex woman which only makes her more realistic. How can you not
enjoy a character who when facing certain death laments the fact
that her life sucks because of crappy jobs and toxic friendships.
Their chemistry is sensational and their dialogue laugh out loud
funny. I highly recommend this amusing novella.
